Helping families stay healthy naturally

Family Wellness Center

When the opportunity to open the new Family Wellness Center came my way, it was the realization of a dream I’ve had since becoming a Chiropractic physician 15 years ago. The spacious building, once the community clubhouse for residents of Leonardo Estates, is the perfect site to allow me to offer a full range of services for the entire family. Wellness depends upon living a balanced life. I believe that we must nurture the mind, body and spirit. At The Family Wellness Center we offer more than Chiropractic care that improves health and provides pain relief without drugs. We offer recreational activities that can offset the detrimental effects of a sedentary lifestyle and give families an opportunity to play together and strengthen family bonds. We’re offering services that fulfill other needs. Sports, play and work injuries take their toll on our bodies. Regular Chiropractic adjustment can alleviate suffering and prevent more serious injury from occurring. Additionally, therapeutic massage, and Yoga can tone the body and yield greater flexibility so that injuries are less likely to occur. Swimming, tennis, racquet ball, and group exercise classes will be available at the Family Wellness Center for our patients who want to incorporate physical activities into their daily lives.
As the former community clubhouse, our facility is located in a neighborhood and we want to be good neighbors. For that reason, we’re making the pool, tennis courts and racquetball court, as well as our large meeting room, available for scheduled events just for Leonardo Estates residents. We’ll also host special events at certain holidays, and offer a site for neighborhood gatherings. We’re working now to incorporate a community bulletin board into our website so that neighbors can log on to their own section of our site and see what’s scheduled.
To round out our list of services intended to nurture mind, body and spirit, we’ll host a variety of educational programs that will be open to the public, including some on health and wellness issues. We plan to offer a Play Day for toddlers and pre-schoolers to give mothers a chance to socialize, while their children play together. We’ll have a regular Share-A-Craft or Hobby Day to let our neighbors, our patients and the public, learn a relaxing new skill. It is our intent to develop a schedule of programs and activities that nurture the mind, body and spirit of the individual, and the family. I hope you’ll accept our invitation to join with us in making the most of our new Family Wellness Center.
